Illusionaries, if you haven't read about it yet, is a new gallery for immersive digital art. Having found its home in the vibrant hub that is Canary Wharf, it is currently presenting 'Latent Spaces', created by multidisciplinary artist Markos Kay. This multisensory experience embodies a fusion between digital art and technology, providing its guests with the perfect opportunity to practice mindfulness.

Presented across four rooms, the artwork is a collection of short video clips of AI-generated creatures. Video art can evoke a number of responses in an individual, but the way the creatures pulse on screen calls to mind the beating of the heart, a poignant yet effective way of drawing our attention back to nature and indeed the inner workings of the natural world. Kay does indeed combine art and science for this visual feast.

Featured with the artwork are compositions from Jesse Solomon Clark, namely his 'Synonyms for Peace', Vol. 1 & 2 (available to listen to on Spotify), which make an enchanting soundtrack for viewing such seemingly otherworldly creatures and environments.

Until 29th Feb

Location: Crossrail Place, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5AR.
